Whether you’re planning a sunset dinner, grabbing beach snacks, or stocking up for your stay, we’ve rounded up the island’s best spots for dining, groceries, liquor stores, and ATM access — all in one place for easy exploring.
ATM:
There is one ATM on the island right in the Bequia Harbor. The ATMs only dispense Eastern Caribbean Dollars (EC$). If the ATMs are down or you need to exchange larger currencies (like US Dollars, Canadian Dollars, British Pounds, or Euros), you can go inside the BOSVG branch during regular weekday business hours.
While some places gladly accept major credit cards, it is highly recommended to carry EC$ cash for taxis, fruit markets, and small local eateries.
Eat & Sip:
Here is a round-up of some of the most popular places on the island.

- Sand Bar - Grab a drink or lite bites at this beach bar located just a few hundred feet from Hypnosis Haus.
- Bequia Beach Hotel - Located on Friendship Bay Beach, feel free to call the hotel for a dinner reservation.
- Jack's Beach Bar - Located on Princess Margaret Beach. The perfect spot after a beach day to grab a bite and indulge in their specialty cocktails.
- Sugar & Spice Cafe - From pastries, to tea, to coffee, this a great spot to sit back relax, and take in the sights of the yachts in the distance.
- Bequia Pizza Hut - Grab a slice, or order a pie, and sip a beer as you wait.
- Maranne's Gourmet Ice Cream - Ice cream, sorbets, and homemade yogurt.
- Mac's Pizza - Our suggestion--try the seafood pizza! They also have drinks, burgers, and other dinner options.
- Fig Tree - Dishing out twists on local favorites.
- Laura's - Italian Dining
- Cheri's Rooftop Terrace - Great location, and you'll never get the same dish twice, as they change their menu on a weekly basis.
- Tantie Pearl's - Located in the Harbor, on a hill, you must have a ride to get there! Try their grilled fish of the day, a roti, or just enjoy the view.

Coco's - Fresh food, always great. Try their fish burger, vegtable curry, or lobster (if in season!)
- Provisions - Fine dining in Lower Bay using locally-sourced ingredients.
- Fernando's Hideaway - Located in Lower Bay, must make reservations, as they have a weekly set menu.
- De Reef - Seaside Dining in Lower Bay, open year-round, seafood dishes.
- Gracie's - Located beachside in Lower Bay, open year-round, grab a drink or a small bite.
- Petra's - Grab a roti, a lobster dinner (if in season), and a rum punch. Great for after beach fun!
- Dawn's Cafe - Grab breakfast or lunch when you're in Lower Bay.
Stock Up:
While your stay includes essentials, we understand the need to stock up on your favorites. Here are a few places you should know about.
- Local Fruit Vendors - You'll see them around, checkout their stall, and ask for more info on local fruit, they'll be glad to share.
- Knight's Trading Supermarket - The main supermarket on the island. Get produce, frozen meats and veggies, liquor, and try out some local snacks!
- Daka Enterprise - Supermarket featuring select items and liquor.
- Doris' Fresh Food & Yacht Provisioning - Find some of your favorite items, imported from the US, Canada, and the UK. Note, prices vary since most are imported.
- Z's Mini Mart - While theyhave limited grocery items, this is the closest stop from Hypnosis Haus. Stop here if you want a quick snack or box of juice.
- Sugar & Spice - After grabbing a pastry and coffee, hop on next door for your favorite bottle of spirits. Includes imported bottles, and local favorites.
- Imperial Pharmacy - Forgot something in your luggage? Stop by the pharmacy in the Harbor to grab essentials.
Elevated Essentials:
Licensed dispensaries, in the Harbor area, are available on the island for guests interested. While guests are welcome to enjoy responsibly, smoking of any kind is not permitted inside the home.
